By completing an ‘Expression of Interest’ am I automatically accepted to attend the Conference?
No, all expressions of interest will be reviewed and prioritised by your District. If you are successful in your expression of interest you will receive an email inviting you to register for the conference. Historically the ACEFA Conference has been over-subscribed so the Conference Organising Team needs to ensure a distribution of delegates across our Districts and Area Commands.
When will I know if my EOI has been approved?
If your EOI is approved you receive a notification between 4 and 8 May inviting you to register your attendance for the conference. It is essential you register your attendance as soon as possible after receiving the email. The conference is historically oversubscribed so a waitlist will be established.
Does the Conference cost anything to attend?
If your EOI is successful you will be provided with full complimentary conference registration, including the welcome reception on Thursday evening and dinner on the Friday evening. Breakfast and lunch on the mornings of Friday 3 and Saturday 4 are included in your conference registration.
Depending upon where you live, you may also be provided with twin-share accommodation for the nights of 2 and 3 July at the Novotel Wollongong. On your registration form you will be asked to indicate your accommodation needs and nominate a room share partner.
Travel to/from Novotel Wollongong is not included in registration. You will need to make your own way to/from the conference venue. Your District Office may be able to assist with vehicle sharing but you need to discuss and coordinate this with them.
Are single accommodation rooms available?
If you are approved for accommodation it will be on a twin share basis. If, for personal/medical reasons you require single accommodation, you can request this on your conference registration form and the Conference Team will see what can be accommodated. Please note any request for single accommodation is not guaranteed.
Can I nominate who I share a room with?
As part of your registration of attendance you can request who you would like to twin share with. While every effort will be made to honour the request, this isn’t guaranteed.
If you do not specifically request to share with anyone you will be accommodated with another delegate of the same gender. Where possible delegates from the same District will be accommodated together.
Delegates will be advised who they are sharing with in their conference confirmation email.
Is it possible to be accommodated on the Saturday night following the Conference?
The conference concludes at 12.30pm on the Saturday. Saturday night accommodation may be available to delegates with significant travel to manage fatigue. Please submit your request for Saturday night accommodation in your registration form. This will be considered and coordinated by the Conference Organising Team.
What email address will I receive correspondence from?
You will receive conference correspondence from: acefaconference@arinexgroup.com. In previous years some delegates with gmail and hotmail have missed correspondence because it has automatically gone to junk or spam. We recommend you add these conference email addresses to your contact list and regularly check your junk and spam emails to ensure you do not miss correspondence.
Unfortunately, I can no longer attend the Conference. Who should I tell?
Please email the Conference Organising Team as soon as possible as someone on the waitlist may be able to receive a place. register.acefaconference@arinexgroup.com
